Location

The Thorne Divide Acreage is located in northeastern Wyoming between Moorcroft and Devils Tower Junction near the small town of Carlile. The property is less than one mile from Highway 14-16 and approximately one-quarter mile from Thorn Divide County Road on a private access easement. A private access road runs along the west and north boundary of the property. The land is within commuting distance of several area towns.

Acreage

The land consists of 40+/- acres. Acreage figures have been obtained from the Crook County Court House, the property has not been recently surveyed. The property consists of mostly rolling meadow land with an access road on the west and north sides. According to Farm Service Agency records there are approximately 37 acres of tillable land. The tillable land is currently in grass/alfalfa hay. The property is fenced on three sides.

The pretty country setting is located on top of Thorne Divide and offers a far-reaching view of the surrounding hills. There are several potential building sites.

The elevation is in the range of 4,350 feet above sea level. According to USDA maps the average annual precipitation in the area is 14 to 16 inches.

Wildlife

Whitetail deer and mule deer take advantage of the feed offered on the hay meadows. Turkey, coyote, fox, bobcat and mountain lion have also been seen in the area.
